  1. General

Aiven sells Swag to consumers and business customers (’’Customer or ’’You’’) all around the world. These terms and conditions for online purchases (’’Terms’’) apply between Aiven Oy and Customer to purchases of Aiven clothing (’’Swag’’) made at Aiven-shop. When purchasing Swag from the Aiven-shop, Aiven processes Customer personal data in accordance with Aiven’s Privacy Policy available at: https://aiven.io/privacy. Aiven may update these Terms from time to time.

  1. Ordering

By placing an order You confirm to purchase the selected Swag. Aiven will send You the order confirmation without unnecessary delay. In the event that an item of Swag You have ordered is unavailable, we will let You know as soon as we can and, where payment has already been made, make a refund without undue delay.

  1. Prices and shipping

All prices at Aiven-shop are given in EUR. The prices given on the Aiven-shop on the date the order is placed shall apply. The stated prices are final prices and include any applicable delivery charge and value added tax (VAT) at the applicable statutory rate.

Aiven delivers worldwide.

  1. Payment

We accept the following payment methods: debit and credit card and payment through Stripe. We may provide more payment methods in the Aiven-shop. You are responsible for any costs associated with money transactions. Aiven will send invoices solely in electronic form.

  1. Vouchers and their redemption

Promotional and gift vouchers are vouchers that cannot be purchased, but are issued by Aiven during specific situations such as advertising campaigns or in connection with events. Promotional vouchers are in force for a limited time period and they can be redeemed in connection with an order.

  1. Order cancellation and returns

Business Customers. Business Customers do not have the right to cancel orders.

Consumer Customers. Consumer Customers have the right to cancel the order within 14 days for any reason. The cancellation period will start to expire from the day on which the Customer acquired possession of the ordered Swag. To exercise the right to cancel the Customer needs to fill in the cancellation form attached into these Terms and contact miia@aiven.shop to receive further instructions for returning the Swag. If You cancel the order, we will refund to You all payments received from You, including delivery costs (except for the additional cost of choosing a delivery method other than the cheapest one we offer), without delay and in any case no later than 14 days after receiving notice of cancellation. We will make the refund at no cost to You.

  1. Complaints

You can make a complaint directly to Aiven at legal@aiven.io. Aiven applies for consumer Customers the provisions of Chapter 5 of the Finnish Consumer Protection Act (38/1978) regarding the transfer of liability, error reporting and penalties for delay and error.

  1. Governing Law and disputes

These Terms and any disputes between Aiven and You are governed by Finnish law. Consumer Customers can take disputes to the Consumer Disputes Board after the consumer Customer has contacted Consumer Advice. Contact information:

The consumer Customer can also initiate a dispute through the Online Dispute Resolution Forum (ODR) (http://ec.europa.eu/odr). When dealing with the ODR forum, You need Aiven’s customer service e-mail address miia@aiven.shop

The Customer may file an action against Aiven for dispute either in the district court of the domicile of Aiven or in the district court of the place in Finland in whose jurisdiction he or she resides. If the Customer is not domiciled in Finland or if the Customer is a business, disputes will be handled in the district court of the domicile of Aiven.
